  • When the laser light passes through the skin, the laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. The energy is then converted into heat. The hair follicle is then destroyed by the heat without damaging the surrounding tissue.
  • Our advanced laser machine has 3 settings in one to allow us to treat light and dark skin types alike. The lighter your hair the more sessions that may be required to achieve optimal results.
  • The number of treatments required for long-term benefits varies on the area being treated, along with your hair density, depth of color and the hair's natural growth cycle. Age, diet, medications, and hormones can also be important factors in how the laser works on hair.

    There are three phases of hair growth — Anagen (active), Catagen (regression) and Telogen (resting). Lasers are designed to treat hair in the first phase, the Anagen phase of growth.

    Each client is unique however, it is recommended that you do an average of 6-8 treatments spaced every 3-4 weeks apart.
    • Avoid tanning, body bronzing and tanning beds for two weeks prior to treatment and wear sunscreen as part of your daily routine.
    • Do not wax or have electrolysis three weeks prior to treatment. You may use a depilatory cream until 14 days prior to treatment. You must shave 24 hours prior to treatment.
    • It is very important to stop doing these procedures two weeks prior to laser hair removal: Photosensitizing Medication, Facial Peels, Retin A, or Renova, Bleaching hair cream, Depilatory Cream, Waxing and Tweezing/Threading.
    • We ask that you shave the area of treatment at most 24-48 hours before coming to your sessions.
  • Immediately following a laser treatment, clients can experience slightly red and puffy skin. This is termed follicular edema, and resembles goose bumps. It can feel like a mild sunburn. This is normal. Hair will begin to fall out 10-14 days after the treatment.
    • You must avoid direct sun exposure for 7 days after your last treatment.
    • Avoid the sun and tanning beds during the entirety of your laser sessions.
    • If you must be in the sun, wear a full spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30+ and stay in the shade as much as possible.
